Keri Hilson has been sweeping the charts & stealing hearts since before Miss Wax was breaking records.

What I look most forward to every year is probably Coachella, and this teaser by
Sam O'Hare is a perfect look at how the festival kicks off.

Layaway tickets are available starting today if you want to lock down your entry to the 2011 edition of the show. I'm sure we're all curious to see who's headlining, and so far there have been rumors of: Arcade Fire, Janet Jackson, Culture Club, and Arctic Monkeys.
Either way I know it will be a juicy lineup and another memory for the books.

This Friday, the close of fashion week in L.A. marked the grand opening of Apartment 3 and Unique LA. It was held at HD Buttercup, a modern furniture store in Culver City. Open bar, bomb deals, dj sets, and groups of friends drinking and lounging in the many rooms of the "house" made for a fun evening. It was amusing to see people claim their living rooms for the night to enjoy spirits in someone else's lavish home. All in all it was a good place to be that night, and it seemed like their was money flowing in for the brands exhibiting. It's another sunny day in L.A. So freaking happy to be living here now.

This is a whole new world of fun and adventure.

So, not only am I working with Miss Wax still, but I'm getting into all kinds of new things here in the city. My good friend, Shawn Owen Button has a clothing line that I've been helping him out with lately. I'm basically here to tell you how amazing he is, and the brand is definitely making a mark in the world of fashion.

48 hours in Los Angels

A lot can happen in 48 hours in the great city if Los Angeles.

We managed to meet some amazing faces & do more hustling in 2 days, then most do in 2 weeks.

MONDAY:

We Headed out Bright & Early monday morning to head downtown & met with the Super inspiring Linus Shentu, L.A photographer for lunch at Curry House to discuss details for our upcoming shoot.

Were definitely looking forward to some next level photo's for our new Fall collection!

Next, we headed to the infamous pattern-maker/designer Luis Diaz's spot to work on a new pattern for a garment coming out next season.

This always makes for an interesting visit.

After a couple more hours of embellishment hunting, we drove up to North Hollywood to Whitney's new apartment for some freshening up...& off to a meeting with future Miss Wax intern, Christine Kim for Dinner at Holly-weird's Kung Pao kitty.

TUESDAY:

Tuesday morning I discussed plans for a future project with super talented Jerry Park, owner of Barracuda Salon.

After that, off to the Hellz- Bellz office to discuss some exciting opportunities for new products & some real growth for MW!

Next, Off to Vana's, CAD designer & my next go to girl for super sick ring casting. Cant wait to release what we have in the works.

Then, Had some amazing Gyro Tacos down this random alley off Hill st & headed to Shawn Owen Buttons place to drink beer & talk shit about how crazy we are for running our own lines.

The stylists of high school tv show ‘Spangas’ wanted to check out IM KING and Miss Wax for their new season. The whole crew is currently in Switzerland and they flew in some IM KING and Miss Wax stuff. It will be airing March 2011. Still a long way to go though. We’ll update you asap. Stay tuned.

Seriously, I can't wait for her second album!

Who knows when that will be, hopefully sooner than later, but don't hold your breath as she's been quoted saying, "it's going to take a loooong time before you hear it, because it takes months to bake a good cake". All we know is that it's in the works. Her tour kicks off May 29th in La, but best believe she sold it out already. Check out her website here for more info.

Wow. What can I say? This has been quite the Coachella experience so far, and it's just our second day! Unfortunately, I left my camera cord behind, but there will definitely be lots of fun & colorful photos to come when we get back to home base. First of all, we are staying at The Budget Inn, and let me tell you boy this is a classy establishment. hahahah..I like to think that we are some down ass girls, but this is straight up roughing it. Ice cold showers, no blow dryer, no shampoo, and a paper bath mat that clearly states "bath mat" Thank you for that. This shit is pure comedy, and now we have great stories to tell. Every little thing adds to the adventure. So, yesterday we saw some amazing performances! In order: Passion Pit, La Roux, Little Dragon, Vampire Weekend, Jay-Z & The Whitest Boy Alive. Whheeewww. Madness. They were all equally good live..oh soooo good!!

Kylee and I are having a blast, and I'll continue to update you! Can't wait to throw the pictures up. I'm trying to get some good style pics too.

on the blog is what I've been doing since the month of April began. It's been a lot of fun in the sun so far as summer creeps closer and closer! And, guess what else?.......COACHELLA!! duuuh. Soo freaking excited. Besides the fact that the event itself is amazing, the joy of spending a weekend away is much needed and so exhilarating.
